Bridging the gap between haves and have nots.

Going to foreign country is a great privilege for common middle class people in India. I had that opportunity for number of times in last twenty years.  However,  I could not enjoy that happy and heaven comparable facilities, luxury, tours and delicious food etc as my inner sense was reminding me about the dire conditions in my country where the people  were living below poverty level  and  struggling to rise to sustainable living standards.

I hated luxury being enjoyed by Indians living abroad. They must look back from where they have come from. They should try to wipe tears from their old friend’s eyes. They should assure them, help them, inspire them, build them. It is not necessary to come back and compete with them for lucrative jobs. They can easily shade  few bucks from their earnings to boost the morale of the unemployed educated youth and help them to stand on their feet.

What is true for people living in foreign countries is sadly true even in India, where the fortunate few who got good jobs with hefty salaries in mega towns.  The same culture of luxury, enjoyment and aloofness has delineated them from harsh realities of their home towns and childhood friends who are getting frustrated and loosing the confidence about their future life.

Dnyandeep Foundation wishes to create this awareness and build strong bonds between the two worlds for improving the situation and accelerate  India’s development. I hope all will participate and spread the message. – Dr. S. V. Ranade, Dnyandeep, Sangli
